What Constitutional Rights Do Non-US Citizens Have?

I don't know about you but I've been wondering about basic Civics. I find myself thinking "I may be outraged, but is it illegal?" and "there is no way that Jesus would stand for this, but is it constitutional?" Selah.

When I wrote Twelve Lies that Hold America Captive, I did research on court cases that directly challenged the teachings of Jesus and found myself bewildered regularly as the image of God was crushed in people through court cases like Buck v. Bell that forced the sterilization of 70,000 US citizens or Mexican Repatriation that deported nearly 2 million Mexicans in the 1930’s. Writing that book and then finishing, Beauty and Resistance (IVP 2025), I am even more convinced that Political Discipleship and faithful civic engagement includes basic education. We can do make good trouble but we can't do that with poor information. So I hope that you will join us on Friday, May 9 at 12PM for an expert level panel that includes immigration lawyers, a know-your-rights briefing, and testimonies from folks doing the work of meeting people in the midst of crisis.
