I've Got Feelings. You Do, Too!
Using the "Feelings Wheel" to stay grounded amidst so much uncertainty
I feel anxious and uncertain about the state of our nation as deportations, detainments, and disappearances become too common to count. I feel urgency to preach not just non-violence but anti-violence in a world seemingly committed to destroying vulnerable people in Gaza, Brooklyn, Miami, Louisiana and more.
I feel grateful and exceptionally blessed because I have health insurance, enough food in our fridge to share and a mortgage and expenses that we can afford. My children are healthy, know that they are loved and get to play. They get to be kids.
I feel grieved and grounded because I know Jesus is Lord, the world is fractured, I have good trouble to start and loving justice to seek. And all of that makes today worth living. What about you?
